Here's a uniquely tasty take on the classic French 75 cocktail, which as the story goes was created in 1915 in Paris by legendary barman Harry MacElhone, paying homage to the 75mm field gun that was the mainstay of French field artillery in World War I. The classic recipe combines gin (or for some, Cognac), lemon juice, simple syrup, Champagne and plenty of ice into a delicious drink with plenty of punch.
Here we feature our Kale Lemonade as a bright, fresh-tasting base for a lighter drink featuring vodka, your favorite sparkling wine, plus OJ and a Cointreau float. Chill the glass as well as all the ingredients for a super-cool contemporary cocktail.
Prep time: 5 min | 2 Servings
Splash of Cointreau (optional, float on top)
Add all ingredients to a cocktail shaker (or a pitcher). Shake (or stir) to mix thoroughly.
Serve in a tall glass over plenty of ice, with a float of Cointreau on top, if you like.
