Kiwifruit has a natural affinity to lemon and lime. You can control the sweetness of this refreshing drink by adjusting the amount of lime and simple syrup. Kiwi limeade makes a good cocktail base for tequilla or rum, as well.To make simple syrup, combine equal parts of water and sugar, bring to a boil, and stir until the sugar dissolves. Store the syrup in a covered container in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks.
Place the kiwis, lime juice, and simple syrup in a blender. Purée until smooth. The tiny seeds of the kiwi are edible, but you can strain the purée, if desired.
Add the crushed ice and blend briefly. Serve immediately.
