Production Master Scheduler

Reports To: Senior Scheduling Manager

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Plan daily production line schedule and plant capacities, with the goal of minimizing excess inventories and optimizing plant changeovers and raw materials.
  • Communicate cross-functionally with Sales, Procurement, Shipping, REceiving, and Production Managers to keep updated on any new forecasts or changes in demand that will affect production or capacity.
  • Develop, analyze, and support weekly and monthly sales forecast modules.
  • Develop, analyze, and support daily and weekly raw procurement yields and forecast modules.
  • Generate and analyze weekly and period-based Key Performance Indicator (KPI) Reports.
  • Leverage technologies to improve supply chain performance using advance-planning software, MRP, WMS, etc.
  • Manage efficiency targets for inventory control, and replenish raw product orders to maintain raw product safety inventory levels for the following day’s demands.

Secondary Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate, lead, and/or participate in management meetings as required.
  • Drive continuous improvement processes and recommend new strategies and tools to increase forecast accuracy.

Educational Background/Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Operations, Planning, Manufacturing, or a related field preferred.
  • 3-5 years’ experience at Manager level in planning, forecasting, or scheduling required; APICS certification preferred.
  • Understanding of supply chain processes, including inventory maintenance and replenishment information systems.
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint, plus WMS and MRP.
  • Self-directed with a sense of urgency; able to handle multiple projects.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Must be able to handle difficult situations with tact and professionalism.
  • Excellent interpersonal negotiation and communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
  • Must be flexible with work schedule. PM and weekend shifts may be required.
