Banana-Lemon Juice
Serves 4

Refreshingly different, this easy-to-prepare juice is a great way to use ripe bananas. If you have frozen banana chunks in your freezer, use about 3 cups as a substitute for the fresh banana slices.

3 large ripe bananas, peeled and sliced 1/2-inch thick

1 cup fresh lemon juice

1/2 cup sugar, or to taste

1-1/2 to 2 cups ice water

Combine the bananas, lemon juice, and sugar in a blender or food processor and purée until smooth. Add 1-1/2 cups of ice water and blend again. Taste and adjust sweetness as desired. Add the remaining 1/2 cup of water if the juice is too thick. Chill in the refrigerator until cold or serve the juice over crushed ice.
