QA Internship

Reports To: Sr. QA Plant Manager

Primary Responsibilities

• Learn and comply with Earthbound Farm's company specifications and procedures
• Develop an understanding of and provide feedback and recommendations for improving the QA Program in the following areas:
  • Sanitation Process Improvement
  • Food Safety Process Improvement
  • Organic System Plan Improvements
  • Raw and Finished Product Inspection Process Improvement
  • Field Safety and Organic Integrity Program Development
• Accompany QA Manager in third party audits
• Analyze current data collection, evaluate and develop reports as needed
• Work on special projects as assigned by the Director of QA

Secondary Responsibilities

• Observe and participate in the monitor of chemical levels, inspection of finished product, and reporting processes
• Ensure quality of product is being maximized

Education/Experience

• Currently pursuing a degree in an Ag-related field
• Some QA experience preferred
• Basic computer skills in Excel and Word programs
• Ability to communicate issues in a constructive manner
• Works well in a team environment
• Ability to be a self starter and drive results

Work Conditions

Working conditions include a cold atmosphere, wet surfaces, and smell of chlorine. Moderate to high noise levels.
