Product Development Internship

Reports To: Business and Product Development Manager

Summary

The Business and Product Development group seeks an intern to assist in projects related to new product development, supplier development, and decreasing supply chain costs.

Project examples include:

• Developing an informational packet on a potential new supplier
• Analyzing the attractiveness of a new market, including the competitive landscape
• Creating a cost model for a new supply relationship
• Maintaining and updating the action items for a new product launch
• Presenting analysis to senior management group

A successful candidate will display an interest in the organic food industry as well as a demonstrated ability and desire to learn and quickly implement new techniques.

Primary Responsibilities

• Work cross functionally with the Business Development, Marketing, and Operations departments to analyze new product development and implementation
• Respond in a timely manner to informational and analytical requests

Education/Experience

• Currently pursuing a degree in Business, Finance, or related field
• Excellent analytical and communication skills
• Strong computer skills. Proficient in MS Excel, MS Word, MS Outlook, and PowerPoint
• Strong interpersonal, written, and organizational skills
• Cooperative attitude with the ability to work in a team based environment
• Some travel with the Product Development Team to attend Business Reviews
• Self directed with the ability to perform with minimal supervision and meet deadlines
