Manufacturing Process Improvement Internship
Reports To: Sr. Mgr. Manufacturing, Sr. Dir. Distribution
Primary Responsibilities
- Analyze various elements of the Manufacturing and Distribution Process to determine capabilities, cost reduction and methods to obtain process control with a particular focus on spill points, yields, and time in motion
- Identify and analyze points of process failure and document recommendations for correction
- Learn and comply with Earthbound Farm's company specifications and procedures
- Analyze current data collection, evaluate and develop reports as needed
- Work on special projects as assigned by the Dept Mgrs.
Secondary Responsibilities
- Ensure quality of product is being maximized while minimizing production costs
Education/Experience
- Currently pursuing a degree in an Ag-related field
- Some QA or Fresh Cut Produce Manufacturing experience preferred
- Basic computer skills in Excel and Word programs
- Bilingual English/Spanish a plus
- Ability to communicate issues in a constructive manner
- Works well in a team environment
- Ability to be a self starter and drive results
Work Conditions
Working conditions include a cold atmosphere, wet surfaces, and smell of chlorine. Moderate to high noise levels.
