Consumer Operator, Part-Time

Reports To: Consumer Relations Manager

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Handle consumer inquiries, requests, and complaints (primarily via telephone) in a manner that provides the highest level of customer satisfaction. Must be highly accurate in all work performed.
  • While talking to consumers, enter personal, product, and issue information into the consumer database (CRS).
  • Deal with challenging situations in a professional manner, with tact and diplomacy.
  • Use a thorough knowledge of Earthbound Farm's farming and processing protocols, organic farming methods, and product details to communicate to consumers in a positive, helpful way.

Secondary Responsibilities:

  • Provide administrative support to Carmel office-based marketing staff.

Educational Background/Experience:

  • At least 1 year of customer service experience, preferably phone-based, as this position involves heavy phone work.
  • Strong oral and written communications skills.
  • Sound judgment and problen-solving capability.
  • Ability to interact skillfully and professionally with consumers, customers, and company personnel.
  • Intermediate-level proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • Database experience a plus.
